Red Rock

This is Mike and Naomi making their way to the top. Or maybe it was on their way down, I'm not quite sure. They had such a great time.



While I was at the shower, Mike decided to take Naomi up to Calico Basin, part of Red Rocks, but free. We like to go up there and hike around quite a bit, but have never made it to the top. On this very special day, Mike and Naomi made it. Mike said that Naomi was a trooper and hiked the whole way all by herself. Mike packed a lunch for them so they could have a picnic at the top and enjoy their accomplishment together. Naomi loves her special dates with her dad. The only bad thing that came out of it was something Mike taught Naomi. She has had a runny nose for the past 2 weeks and he forgot to bring tissue. So, instead of wiping her nose he taught her to just 'sniff it up.' Just the other day, Naomi was out playing with one of her friends. I called to her to have her come blow her nose, and she said "It's okay mom, dad said I can just sniff it up!" So that's what she did and away she went. I don't know what worse, teaching her to sniff it up or farmer blow, GROSS!! I can already tell this will be a hard habit to break.
