BIG BELLY

I'm really not a big fan of taking pictures of my belly and showing off how big I really am, but I was asked to take some. Lucky you. While I was contemplating whether or not to post this, I came up with my top 5 side effects of pregnancy that women can do without. Hopefully I'm not the only one feeling these symptoms:

1. Swelling: This ranges from feet to face. I just can't seem to stop swelling everywhere. My shoes at church today were wedged on, and if I took them off, I know that there was no putting them back on. My fingers are so big that my wedding ring doesn't fit anymore. I've now become a single mom. hehehe! Of course weight gain falls into this category. Genetically, the women in my family put on a lot of weight, how unfair is that.

2. Excess Hair: Ever heard of pregnancy hair, I've got it. The hair on my head is so thick and gross, and worst of all, it grows like crazy. It takes everything I've got to keep it at bay. Talk about bed head all the time. hahaha!

3. Acid Reflux: Why on earth should pregnant women have to deal with this? As if sleeping isn't hard enough already. It's there if you don't eat enough, but there if you eat too much!

4. Itchy Skin: I know we live in Las Vegas, so it is dry so that's part of it, but due to the swelling, I'm itchy! When will it ever stop?

5. Big Belly: Of course I realize why we have a belly, but it sure gets in the way of everything. Even Naomi runs into it forgetting how large it really is. Also, with the belly in the way sleeping is difficult, shaving is near impossible, painting my toes nails is completely impossible.

It's a good thing we get our boys out of all of this, and when you really think about it, I'd do it again. The blessings of children are so wonderful that I wouldn't trade it for anything. However, there is something about knowing our bodies will be perfected one day. hahaha!

You are gorgeous.

I have to disagree with one of your complaints...I love that my hair gets thicker when I'm pregnant since it's not so thick the rest of the time. It's the only time I feel like I have pretty hair. But it will start falling out soon, I know... :(

On the other hand, I totally agree about the acid reflux/sleeping issue. On more than one occasion I was woken by acid in my mouth and had to run to the bathroom to gag. Yuck. And I really enjoy being able to lay on my stomach now...

Countdown's on! Hang in there!
