Live Nativity

Just recently Mike and I were able to take Naomi to a Live Nativity one of the local Stakes put on. It has turned into a Christmas tradition for us that will continue as long as we are in Las Vegas. Naomi had a great time petting all the animals and drinking her hot chocolate.

Targhee: Here we come

For the Thanksgiving holiday, Mike was able to take Naomi skiing for the first time up to Grand Targhee. What a great day it turned out to be. We expected very little out of Naomi, and boy we were so surprised. All she wanted to do was go faster and to go on the bigger ski lifts. When we left for home, all she kept saying was "when I get bigger, I want to be the fastest and go all by myself." We were so proud of her and can't wait to take her again over the Christmas holiday.

Home Sweet Home

When Mike and his friends weren't working on patients, they had a great time playing.



November was a really busy month for our little family. Naomi and I went up to my sister's house in Nampa, ID to keep us busy while Mike went on a dental mission to the Philippines. It's been 9 years since Mike has been back and he said it was like going home. He loves the people, the food, and the culture. He was able to serve the people again, just in a different way and they sure loved having a big, tall, white guy speak Tagalog. Mike's parents were able to go with him along with 3 other dental students from his class. They had such a great time. I sure wish I could have been there to see Mike in action. Do not worry, my turn will come. In his spare time, Mike played basketball with the local children. He did that a lot on his mission and they ate it up. Every time one of the kids scored on him, the crowd would cheer, but every time Mike would dunk the ball, the would cheer even louder. Too bad the crowd hasn't ever realized that the hoops are a lot higher the the U.S. Mike also liked to chum around with their very own security crew who carried around very large guns.
