It's a BOY!!!

Nolan Michael Harper has finally come. YEAH!! Here are a few pictures of him and I'll be sure to post more since I was recently informed that I don't update enough. Oh for anyone that is interested I thought I'd let you know how the day went.

I went into the office on Tuesday the 4th to have my amnio done to make sure Nolan's lungs were ready. I had great hopes that the lungs were ready, why wouldn't they be, Nolan was expected to be 8 lbs already even at 38 weeks. After coming home, dropping the babysitter off at home, I headed to Walmart, with the kids, to grab some last minute groceries for the fam while I was in the hospital. I quickly filled my cart and when I went to grab the eggs, my water broke!! Luckily it wasn't a huge gush! I quickly took the kids to the restroom where I squished us all into the family stall, cart and all, and shoved an entire roll of toilet paper between my legs. I felt bad just leaving the groceries, so of course I had to buy them. Then while quickly heading to the register, I ran into a good friend who I had to stop and say hi to. Once I made it home and after a handful of phone calls, the kids had a great place to stay, all the groceries were put away, my clothes were changed, the dog was taken care of, I was on my way to the hospital. At 3pm we were told that b/c I ate a ginormous cheeseburger for lunch, we wouldn't be able to deliver until 10:30 that night. We found out that the lungs were still a bit immature which made us a little nervous, but that we could deliver anyway.

Going into the section, Mike and I were both really scared. Thank goodness we have an amazing doctor who calmed our nerves and did an outstanding job. We love Dr. Wilkes!!! He said it was his fault and ruptured the membrane while doing the amnio. which for some reason he laughed a little at. We were also able to talk the anesthesiologist into letting a friend come into the surgery with us. At 11:01pm Nolan was born at 7lbs 7oz and 20inchs long. He is a good boy. We sure love him!!!

Congratulations Cuz!!!! We're so excited to have another kiddo in the family. Sounds like all in all it was a good labor. You are so funny - paying for the groceries first. I probably would have done the same thing though.

Love ya!!!
