Mike and I took on the impossible and took the kids camping for a week. Our poor camp neighbors put up with a lot screaming babies, really early mornings, and late nights. But, it was all worth it. We took off Tuesday morning and after a really long 12 hour car ride which was only supposed to last 8 hours we finally made it to Yosemite National Park.
We woke up early the next morning and hiked to the top of Vernal Falls. Thank goodness for Thomas, Mike's little brother and his wife Katie. Thomas carried Bennett the entire time, Rhett was with Mike and up we went. It was such a great accomplishment to get to the top and enjoy such spectacular views of the valley. Naomi was such a champ and she hiked the entire thing without a problem.
We had a great time roasting marshmallows, late night talks around the campfire, leisure stoles around Mirror Lake, bike riding, playing in the dirt, and enjoying one another's company.
A mother by any other name would be as sweet?

How fun! We loved Yosemite when we went...but that was before we had kids. I bet it would be a blast to take the kids along. It is so beautiful. Glad the trip was worth it for you all.
